What makes you great? Today we are going to focus on the positive qualities we possess by creating a “Garden of Greatness.” Here’s how you do it:
- First, begin making your flower. Cut out a circle and write your name in the center.
- Cut out 5 (or more) “petals.” These petals are made from long rectangular strips of paper.
- On each petal, write one thing you are good at or one thing you like about yourself.
- Once all the petals are filled, fold them under, and tape them to the backside of your flower center.
- TAKE IT FURTHER!! Now that you know how to create a great flower, you need more for your garden! Do this activity for another person in your family. Once you are finished, hang them on a wall or refrigerator so everyone can see your “Garden of Greatness!”
Don’t have colored paper? No worries! Get resourceful and use what you have at home! Send us a picture of your garden in order for it to count towards your overall participation in the 4-H Daily contests. We’ll give you a shout-out on social media too so everyone can celebrate how great your garden is!
